Revised Option B Requirements
During the Fall 2009 Board of Directors meeting, the ATCB Board voted to rescind an earlier decision that would have made it necessary for Option B applicants to complete all of the required art therapy courses in the context of a master's degree program, as of January 1, 2010.
What does this change mean? In terms of the overall process for obtaining the ATR, Option A will remain the same, continuing to be the route for AATA approved program graduates; Option B will remain as it is for a time, while ATCB pursues a single application process for the ATR; and Option C will be eliminated as planned, in September of 2010.
Updates regarding the planned changes to the applications will be available here and in the ATCB newsletter.
